it’s whatever team rider that a certain advertiser wants to be on the cover this month.
and an entire fucking issue/catalog dedicated to pro surf contests? damn. talk about alienating the readership. but i guess it’s a great handjob, again, for the advertisers, who have much more control over the surf mags then the editorial staff does. surf mags fucking suck these days, mate. it’s really sad.

You’re totally right Yeah. We put a 16 year old brazilian on the cover with a pulled back photo in the rain where no sponsors are visible just so we can please all the brands. Makes perfect sense. You’re a genius. Great take buddy.
