Padang Padang dished out classic conditions for this year's event.

Bukit local Mega Semadhi had the lead the entire final but was outdone by Wardo's last-minute perfect 10.

Mega Semadhi keeps things in perspective, "I got to surf four heats. That’s more than two hours surfing perfect, empty Padang Padang. That's a gift right there.”

Again, the girls love Padang.

After getting carried onto the stage, Wardo got on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend. He said, "I told myself if I won this contest I was gonna do this right here on the stage. So I guess it was meant to be.”
