Everybody wants a wave pool in their backyard. Trouble is, most people can’t afford it.
The Washington Redskins are not like most people. For starters, they are a team in the National Football League whereas most people are the amalgamation of flesh, mind and spirit. Aside from that, they can afford a wave pool in their backyard.
As per plans that were just unveiled, the Washington Redskins want a moat-like wave pool to surround their next stadium. Let’s repeat that for emphasis: The Washington Redskins want a moat-like wave pool to surround their next stadium.
Apparently, the idea is to make the stadium a year-round attraction instead of just a seasonal pit of drunk people who may or may not still being wearing RGIII jerseys. Makes sense. We think. Although we’re not quite sure if they did the math on the whole wave pool idea. That Kelly Slater donut pool idea, which seems to be what they’re hinting at, didn’t exactly seem to take off. At any rate, you can learn more about it on the Skins’ site here.
They don’t currently have a location picked for this new stadium, but we’ll keep you posted as things evolve.
Also, long story short:
Yes, Kirk Cousins, we like that. Now have some pear juice and settle down you weirdo.
