A few days ago we told you about Puerto Rico’s development problem.
The movement to save Puerto Rico’s wildlife ecosystem and surf breaks at Playuela is gaining a lot of steam, but they still need our help. A petition has been created in order to convince local lawmakers that the Christopher Columbus Landing Resort would be a bad idea for the community. So far, they are about halfway to their goal of 5,000 signatures. Hopefully the SURFING community can help push them over the edge.
If you’re somehow on the fence with this situation, take a look at the above gallery. This is what we would all be losing if the project were to go forth.
