East Coasters, as you’ve probably noticed, are a prideful group. So after the first couple days of competition in shit conditions and with people all over the world complaining about the lack of quality waves, we were relieved when the good side of Long Beach finally showed.
It might not be a world-class reef, and it certainly gets better than today, but watching the world’s best go to town on a super rippable beachbreak is fun stuff for anyone. Crazy good air sections were available almost on demand and the younger generation on tour took full advantage. —Jimmicane

“I know it wasn’t ideal, but they had to run today. You need four days of competition for a WT event and four days is a lot when you’re talking about the East Coast.” —Jimmicane

how much is the guy on the left totally the type the ASP employs.
Jimmi, ever the relentless pimp-wannabe… the guys who quite obviously pulled the best airs of this contest were not the “younger generation”, and no amount of industry-pimp-blather can make most viewers think that Kelly (39) and Kerr (27) did not have the best airs in this one… but hey, keep trying to get paid, Jimmi.
fuck you jimmy
