This weekend is the first stop of the Rip Curl Grom Search Series at 9th Street in Huntington Beach. And while by the end of the weekend, we’ll all know who walked away with the first place trophy, we want to know who held it down for digital street cred. SURFING Magazine and YOU will help figure that out. Once the smoke has settled at each event we’ll compile five nominees to post for you to Vote on for who you think had the “Wave of the Event” for each Rip Curl GromSearch based on the five single wave video submissions. One big maneuver? A sick combo? A long, well orchestrated full wave? They’ll all be up there. Cast your vote, post your opinion, or, depending on if you're nominated, throw a campaign. Yes you can! Regional event winners get a profile piece on SURFINGMAGAZINE.COM, and the season champion gets a full page “Threat” feature in Surfing Magazine.
In an effort to showcase the wide variety of good surfing that goes on throughout most surfing events, this is an opportunity for those we don’t necessarily make the final to still have a huge impact and get featured for blowing up.
