RAEN Optics has welcomed their newest ambassador to the team. As an emerging influence on the global surf scene, Thom Pringle is equal parts surfer, explorer and artist. At 20, his creative thrust is perfectly aligned with the RAEN family according to Creative Director and Founder Justin Heit: “Thom’s love of fashion and his authentic perspective fuel a soft-spoken passion for surfing and the creative aesthetic we identify with personally. He’s a perfect fit.”
Thom lives on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, and continues to define his own brand of big airs while laying concrete for the family business and hunting down genuine experience with an unsettled, nomadic fervor. In addition to sponsorships from Vans, Brixton and now RAEN, his wanderlust has led him to appearances in a number of films, including a revealing documentary from Riley Blakeway called Thom. A Portrait of Modern Youth.
While Thom splits time between the US and Australia, he’s admittedly troubled by time unfulfilled, which means when he’s not pushing his creative boundaries, he’s mapping out the next journey. As Heit welcomes the newest member of the RAEN family, he says he looks forward to the adventure as Thom continues to grow as an artist and a surfer.+
