Tom Curren fans rejoice: you now have an official place to worship. This weekend, at 727 State Street in Santa Barbara, Rip Curl and the three-time world champ celebrated the opening of Curren’s official store. In addition to all the normally high-quality goods you’d expect from a Rip Curl store, memorabilia includes Curren’s 1985 Rip Curl Pro Bell, his Walk of Fame placard, his official NSSA National Team Track Suit, his Stubbies Pro Championship Trophy and many others. As Rip Curl Marketing Director Dylan Slater said, “Not only does the store host Rip Curl’s extensive range of product from apparel to watches to wetsuits, it’s a tribute and a window into the remarkable career of Tom Curren.”There were plenty of people on hand to toast the store’s opening and listen to Curren’s live performance, including the Curren clan, 1977 world champ Shaun Tomson and the entire Rip Curl crew. Be sure to pay the store a visit next time you swing through Santa Barbara.
