Remember when Jamie O'brien would criticize Josh Kerr's non-aerial game? Haven't heard that in a while.

William Cardosso, aka the Gentle Panda, proved that turns trump tubes when it comes to surfing Bells.

A 19.10 heat total will normally win you a heat. Unfortunately for Parko, Raoni Montiero surfed the heat of his life and took down the current world champ.

Even after implementing priority in 3-man heats this year, Adriano Desouza can still find a way to hassle fellow competitors.

Kolohe Andino surfed well again but was overmatched by Adriano's speedy aggression on the Bells bowl.

It'd be interesting to compare Carissa Moore's turns with some guys on tour. We'll just say, most guys would be worried surfing a heat against her here.

Josh Kerr's priority slip-up cost him when Nat Young hustled into a long, Rincon right with :30 left, and blasted it to the tune of an 8.5.

what a prejudiced photo description guys!!!! come on? Kelly did the same thing as Adriano in that final at Kirra. This are THE RULES, not hassle.
Unreal that there is not one photo of tour rookie Nat the USA runner up. Get with it editor.
Yeah, that wasn’t hassling. It was sort of dickish, but tactically solid. And you guys wouldn’t call it “hassling” if Slater did it. (Which he did, @ Snapper). I’m not a huge ADS fan, but the kid deserved that victory, fair and square. He is one of the few Brazilians to come from genuinely disadvantaged circumstances, and we should support athletes like him. Unfortunately, the anti-Brazil bias is still pretty thick in most corners of the surf world–except for the ASP judging, ironically, because it is their job precludes racism. The bastion of white privilege is dying, boys. Slowly but surely. And as with all deaths, there will be some spasms, some kicking and screaming. But it doesn’t matter. It’s happening. Sorry, guys. It’s getting brown in here. (And I don’t mean Hawaiian). Deal with it.
why have so many people turned surfing into such an over competetive and mass capitalistic thing? it seems like so many people are so star struck and will worship people like gods. hilarious little minds.
