Africa may not be the last frontier, but it’s at least the wildest. Some parts of Africa are crawling with big, unneighborly lions. Others are restless with political instability. Some places even have Jordy Smith dancing to Top 40 songs. But somewhere in the shadows of the untamed, there lives world class surf. The Globe team dispatched a trip to Africa’s east in pursuit of at least one of those things. You can see the footage in the forthcoming Strange Rumblings In Shangri La film and you can see the photos a couple hundred pixels north of this sentence.
