Shane Dorian, the godfather of modern day big-wave surfing.
Shawn set the world record for the biggest wave ever paddled into a few years back at Maverick’s. Then Dorian one-upped him at Jaws. This year, Shawn reclaimed his home in the record books with a 61-footer at Cortes Bank. Bigger than any wave that was even towed this year.
