Indonesia is still the dream. After all these years, all these charters, all these camps and all these crowds, the waves remain perfect. As in, actually perfect, flawless. There are 18,307 islands. 8,844 are named. 922 are permanently inhabited. And every last one of them could be holding your dream wave — besides, of course, the thousands of isles that are completely blocked from swell but come on. Be romantic for a minute, would you?
