This was my foot after two months of no surfing. Some guy rode into me at HB and then did a runner (bailed) after he offered to take me to the hospital. I got twenty stitches and the doctors couldn't figure out why it wouldn't heal. After a bursting artery and staff infection, I left Hawaii and came home. I was sitting at my girlfriend’s house hating life and decided I was going to pull the scab off. This is what came out -- it was a piece of the guy’s surfboard stringer. Foot healed up right away after that and so stoked to be surfing again.
Best towel I have ever seen. This is the only Instagram photo that has ever cost me money. This kid made me pay him a dollar for the shot and he quickly bought a hot dog with the coin. It was during the US Open and chicks were frothing on this kid because of his towel.
Probably the most fun trip of my life. We had decent waves too. Although, we didn't make it to the beach that often because the city is so amazing. This shot was when I was doing the Time Square thing. People are crazy. After Rusty posted this photo, some chick informed me that the other chick is a impostor and that she was the real Naked Cow Girl.

My most famous Instagram photo yet. I think it got like 80 likes. I didn't actually take the shot and it’s not even my hand. @ryanbaut took it. We were in Hawaii, completely bored and he decided to draw this on his hand. If I was cool I would get this inked on my hand for real. Slapping shakes everywhere.
It was my roommates wedding (SURFING staff photographer Tom Carey). It was an amazing night and the perfect wedding. Good people and good times. They also got the most epic gifts and our house now looks like a Crate and Barrel lookbook. I just wish Tom wasn't the only one that could cook.
A qsteuion, why would do people feel the need to spend each and every second with their significant other on a trip? Even in marriage you aren’t attached to your partner that much.
