If you’ve been an early riser this week, you’ve probably noticed it’s been crisp as a Coors Light. With temps hovering around 33-degrees with brisk offshore winds and a big bright, calm sun, the dawn patrol has been a bit frosty. But if you’re a surf photographer it means only one thing: Larry Light. The classic, early morning light creates for popping pics and there’s no studio quite like The Creek. SURFING Magazine’s long-time photo editor and current guiding light, Larry “Flame” Moore, who regularly made the morning missions to get those classic lit shots, was shining down on Creek this week and in his honor the current photo staff –– Pete Taras and Sam Olson –– hit the sand to bask in a little Larry Light. –– Travis Ferr
