We’re not sure how much we’re supposed to say here, but a certain military base notorious for draining, south-swell wedges somehow opened its gates last week and held a huge surf contest. Tons of spectators on hand, flawless weather and a late-season southern hemi all combined for an amazing day of surfing. We’re still not going to name the place, but you know where it is. Congratulations to winner Yves Bright for backdooring a couple of deep ones and to runner-up Sean “Purple” Hayes, who found the pit of the day.
