Ergophobia and Surf Taco hosted the 1st annual Dean Randazzo Cancer Foundation event at the Lakewood BlueClaws Baseball Stadium during a game. The scene was set with 8,000 fans on hand while supporting companies set up on the outfield concourse. On hand to support the event was Oneill, Allyance, Electric, Ando and Friends, Jetty and Reef. Under the Ergophobia tent signing autographs was Shea Lopez, Matt Keenan and Luke Ditella. Surf Taco was set up in full force with great food and good vibes feeding the stadium and donating the proceeds to the DRCF. Thanks to everyone that showed up to support. We look forward to making it even bigger next year.
About the Dean Randazzo Cancer Foundation (DRCF):
Dean Randazzo, New Jersey’s most successful professional surfer, was stricken
with cancer in 2001. He was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma and has been
battling the disease ever since. His life was profoundly changed by the diagnosis
and he has faced many obstacles in undergoing his treatment. He is not alone.
With the help of Dean’s friends and family, they created the Dean Randazzo
Cancer Foundation in 2001. They are a charitable, non-profit organization with
501(c)(3) status through the federal government. All donations to the DRCF are
tax deductible.
Their purpose is to raise money for cancer research and awareness and assist
individuals battling cancer both financially and emotionally. To date, they have
donated over $100,000.00 to worthy beneficiaries who fit these criteria. To learn
