There are no secrets these days. Especially when whispers of south swellbegin to stir on the West Coast in the middle of July. But things do getoverlooked. Take, for instance, the South Shore of Oahu. Most everyone knowshow much it can light up on a proper south, but when the Wedge startedtickling the 15-foot mark and the US Open went jet-ski assist on the weekendof July 25-26, all eyes were on the Mainland.
