Then we mercifully killed it.....then we cut off it's tail and its jaw out for a trophy and took pics.... A little bit of a disconnect to the whole "epic" story. Sounds like a load of BS if you ask me. Spearfishing will generally bring out the bigger fish, better ways to have controlled that risk.

12ft Tiger Shark Attack
It was heavy when he told us about it last June. Diving in the Gulf of Mexico with a couple of friends. Wrestling a 12-foot tiger shark that wouldn't leave them alone. Finally having to shoot it when they felt their life was in danger. But the mainstream media works in strange ways sometimes, and recently, when Struntz's photos of the encounter hit the newswire, the world...uh, bit. The U.K. 's Guardian. Cover of the New York Post. Just about every morning news show and the list goes on. In between book deal negotiations and talking to his "agent," Struntz -- aka "Scuba Steve" called to let us know that he needed a day or two to deal with the feeding frenzy. Congrats, Scuba. Don't forget the little people.
