Video: A Farewell To Winter In The Northeast

posted by / Video / March 27, 2014

The Northeast just experienced one of its coldest winters ever. It was brutal. Like, hurts to even exist freezing for weeks at a time. Do you know how New Jersey delegates Sam Hammer, Mike Gleason, Pat Schmidt and Tommy Ihnken handled it? They went surfing, because it also happened to be firing. And no, they did not put any vaseline on their faces because that’s for pussies. They did trips up to New England, braving incredibly dangerous driving conditions, and got barreled in the type of weather that would make even the most battle-hardened mailman say fuck this and tear that birthday card and check from your grandma to icy shreds. This is filmmaker Joe Carter’s way of saying goodbye to the 2013-2014 winter and you might want to wear a jacket while watching it.

Great film!!! This really captures the mood and cold of this past winter. Love the snow owl motif and the soundtrack is perfect… And hats off to some very good surfers! Awesome
