Globeisodes Vol. 1: CJ

How delightful is CJ Hobgood? Respectfully irreverent by land, smoothly progressive by water. He needn’t be coarse to be funny; he needn’t be annoying to be nice. CJ can win Teahupo’o or the Tavarua event (when the ASP has enough money to hold the Tavarua event), but he’s a podium contender anywhere waves break. Perhaps the best goofy-foot style on the planet, but also a stunt double for Dion or Owen Wright in the aerial department. He’s a fine, fine surfer and gentleman who keeps getting better with age.

Owen “Avatar” Wright discusses his best Hawaii season to date
Double-grab aerials have been fading away — for good reason. Owen implements double-hand stalls and gets deeper in the tube. Jimmicane, what’s your stance here?
