It’ true what they say.
Indonesia really is goofy foot heaven. Just take Desert Point, a 500-yard-long left that can offer up to five barrels per wave. It’s a tricky wave on your backhand as you have to constantly adjust your line and speed, but for the screwfoots it’s a walk in the park. Drag here, pump there, highline, and you’re out. Rinse and Repeat.
Follow Natxo Gonzalez, Adrian Fernandez de Valderrama and Jon Irigoyen on their journey to remote Indonesia in search of the fickle but fabulous Desert Point. Spoiler alert: the don’t get skunked.
