Last week, the bulk of mainstream surf news was coming out of a little Mexican beach break known as Puerto Escondido – when a solid southern hemi blasted the coast with massive long-period surf. As most have already seen, Mark Healey bagged arguably the biggest wave ever paddled into, and countless brave names received some of the more memorable rides, and beatings, of their life.
