I have a revolutionary idea for a surf movie: Make a surf movie with no shots of people jumping off of boats.
Trust me, in five years, it will be cool.
Could have got better footage staying at Bingin for six months. Plus, could have got shots of people getting massages and eating nasi too…..
people still use youtube?
people still invest in film about boat-trips around indonesia? we have seen to many perfect-wave-films already!
I enjoyed the premier of this film, however I feel surf films are turning into surf porn. Everything film is repeating the next.
Single Fin Productions are in the post production stage of their film Rhythmic Waters. It explores the surfing industry of Bali, looking at the locals perspective and the effects of commercialism on their community. Not only does it explore the surfing locations Bali has on offer but it takes on a different angle that hasn’t been done before.
