Australia has some of the most crowded waves in the world (Snapper) and some of the least crowded waves in the world (90% of their coastline).
Tasmania happens to fall in the latter category. Roughly 100 miles from the Australian mainland, Tasmania is the colder, much less enticing version of the Land Down Unda. Yet, its island structure houses waves on every side, and there’s a fair chance you could go down there and score an epic solo session. The Zion wetsuits team decided to put their new rubber to the test in Tazzie’s chilly water and ended up scoring a slew of empty wedges and peaks. Certainly better than battling on the Goldy.
